Our First Weekend in Korea...

Well, we have been in Korea now for 5 days and I can say things are going great!!  We really have had such a smooth transition here and I'm so grateful for that.  We now have a house that we will move in on Tuesday and it is the exact one we wanted.  Before our trip over, I had been introduced to some couples on facebook that live here and go to the same church service we are attending.  One of the ladies, Marcia, told me about a house that was available right across from hers and that's the one we got!  We are so excited about it!  So far all of our neighbors are amazing and there are SO many kids around for our children to play with .  Marcia and her husband invited us over to their house last night and the kids just played to their hearts content with all their new friends.  Rachel already has one "BFF" ( as she calls her) and I'm sure there will be many more in her future.

Today  we went to visit the church service that we will be attending while stationed here.  The chapel where it is located happened to be across the street from where we are currently staying. Josh went to a men's breakfast on Saturday and was told that this chapel is the most active one that the army has.  They have several services: traditional, Catholic, gospel, etc.  We are attending the contemporary one called "The ROCK".  It stands for Relying On Christ in Korea.  The head Chaplin of that service just happens to be from NC :).  As a matter of fact, he has a house in Southern Pines!  We really enjoyed the service and met some GREAT people.  Looking forward to all God has in store for us here!

On our way to church....love them to pieces!

Walking to the chapel......

This will be our church home for the next two years.  I was surprised by how big it was...

After the service, we were invited to go out to eat at a restaurant back at The Dragon Hill Lodge.  The great thing about this place is all 4 of our kids got to eat free!!!!!  For all six of us to eat ( buffet style) was $30.00 and the food was great!  So, I believe we have found our Sunday eating place :)  I'm finally venturing off post again this afternoon with Marcia.  She is taking me to Emart.  It is supposed to be like Target or Walmart....we'll see!

Until Next Time,

Michelle
