Boy Scout Crossover Ceremony....

Every year in February when Scouting celebrates it's birthday, packs all across the country hold blue and gold banquets. It's a time to celebrate the packs birthday, thank pack leaders & other adults who help, and bring the families of all the scouts together for a night of fun!   Ethan's pack held it's banquet a couple of weeks ago.  Each den had to make a centerpiece that represented scouting.  Since this is the last year Ethan's den will be in Cub Scouts, they chose to make one that represented their crossing over.  It turned out great!!

They boys & their families also had time to play some games and eat before the ceremony took place...

Like I said earlier, this was Ethan's last year in Cub Scouts. He has been looking forward to his crossing over ceremony all year long.  He was also excited because him and a couple of the other boys in his den were going to earn their "Arrow of Light" award.  The Arrow of Light is the highest award a Cub Scout can earn.  There are certain requirements Ethan had to fulfill in order to receive this award.  We were SO proud of him and all his hard work!

The bridge used for the crossing over....

The Boy Scouts put on a performance for us and told the story of the importance of the crossing over...they did an amazing job!

Receiving his Arrow of Light award....

Then it was time for the Webelos to cross-over into Boy Scouts...

His den leaders are taking off his Cub Scout awards to prepare for his new Boy Scout uniform (this really made me tear up, he is just growing up way too fast for me)...

Introducing the newest Yongsan Boy Scouts!

So proud of the young man Ethan is becoming and look forward to see what he accomplishes in Boy Scouts!!

Until Next Time,
Michelle
