One of the bus stops is right outside one of the gates on post. Once we got on the bus, we paid for our ticket and they gave us a map of all the stops. As you are riding along you can put on headphones that are attached to the seats and it will give you a description of the stop that is coming up and what is there. It was pretty neat!
If you want to get off at a certain stop on the route you are suppose to push a button overhead that will let the driver know to stop. The first place we really wanted to get off at was the Namsangoi Traditional Korean Village, however our stop button was broken ( we didn't know) and the bus kept trucking along. So we ended up going to the next stop...N Seoul Tower!! Seoul Tower sits at the top of Namsan Mountain and it allows you to see panoramic views of Seoul. Today it was very foggy, but we still enjoyed the view.
This is the pathway that leads up to the tower. I just loved the color of the leaves, so beautiful!
When we got to the top we noticed some people dressed up in traditional Korean attire and realized that we could dress up too!!
Some pictures of the view.....we will have to go up again another day when it is not so foggy :(
Countless numbers of "love locks" hang on this wall at Seoul Tower. It's a tradition in which couples bring a lock, hang it on the wall, and throw the key away to show their eternal love for each other.....
J&J goofing off as usual.....lol
These benches are made this way on purpose so that when you and your love one sit down you slide next to each other......cute!
On our way back down the mountain we noticed these hearts on the street....sweet!
Our next ( and final stop, we ran out of time), was Insadong. Insadong is another section of Seoul. It specializes in items that can only be purchased in Korea...hanboks, pottery, traditional teas, etc. We were so hungry that I totally forgot to take some pictures. We did find this nice little Korean restaurant and enjoyed a very yummy lunch!
Until Next Time,
Michelle
