Nanta is one of the most popular shows in Korea and has been running for about 13 years! According to the website, "it's a story about three young cooks who are seen organizing the kitchen and doing the basic prep work. Their manager enters to announce that they have to prepare a feast for a wedding happening on the same day at 6PM. The manager also brought along his nephew and asked the three cooks to train him as well, which makes things even more stressful. With the kitchen newbie in tow, the three cooks quickly planned and prepared for the evening's festivities. They went about with their work preparing one dish after the other. Will they finally be able to make it to the 6 o' clock deadline? "
There is no talking involved, they use pots, pans, drums, etc to make music and tell the story. I had heard it was a very fun show and we were excited to finally be able to go see it!
A cold spell had come through the day before we went and it was raining the night of, so while I was getting our seat assignments, Josh went to the snack area to grab a coffee!

Apparently they have ten different teams ( made up of 5 people) who put on the performances. We were entertained by the brown team!
I'm really glad that we bought our tickets ahead of time because the place was packed out!!!
The Stage! Once the show began we were not allowed to take pictures or video.
The show lasted about two hours and was SO much fun!!! It's a show that the entire family would enjoy! Afterwards, we were starving, so we decided to get something to eat. Usually I try and research to get some suggestions on where to eat, but I couldn't find much about this area ( maybe I wasn't looking in the right places).
As we were walking around we came across this little place called Han's Deli! The pictures of the food looked great and the prices were really cheap too! So we thought we would give it a try! I'm so glad we did....we had such a nice, relaxing time & the food was really good!!
They had a variety of foods to choose from, Josh ordered a some type of steak plate...reminded us a lot of salisbury steak.
My mom and I ordered Chicken Carbonara and it was delicious!!
We had some time to spare before we needed to get back home to our babysitter, so we hopped on the subway and took my parents to Itaewon for a quick treat! Here's a picture of some of the underground shops.
On the way home, we stopped by Rotiboy. We LOVE these chocolate filled pastries, especially on a cold, rainy night! My parents were fans too!! I'm sure this is a birthday my Dad will remember for a lifetime and I was thankful to be able to share it with him!! We love you DADDY!
