Life Lately....

Life lately has been SUPER busy!!!  I was told by one of my friends here that our second year would fly by a lot faster than our first.  She was SO right!!  I can't believe there are only 25 days left until the kids go back to school!! CRAZY!!!  So here is what we have been up to lately....

One of my friends in our neighborhood began a 30 day Ab challenge this month!  Another sweet friend leads us in the routine.  They meet  four mornings during the week in one of the neighborhood parks.  I got started a little late with it due to our kids swimming lessons and have missed a few due to VBS, but let me tell you these workouts are NO JOKE!!  Kat really works us hard & since starting I've lost 4 lbs!!  Can't beat that!  Below is just one of the routines we did...

Getting our sweat on :)

As you can see our abs were killing us about now...

This one hurt the most!!

So modeling is a pretty big around here & is really safe!  Ethan & Rachel both got called to go for an audition for a children's education video.  They both were really nervous, but did a great job!

Here they are getting their hair & makeup done...

Getting ready to audition....they had to speak a script with a partner, while being filmed.  I got tickled because Ethan asked " Mom, am I suppose to read this like it is written or the way Americans really say it."  (They had mistyped some of the prepositions..lol).

We finally got a call today & Ethan was chosen to be part of the production!  He is super excited....it was a great experience for both of them!

Josh is the new Cubmaster for the Cub Scouts on post & over the weekend they had their annual summer pool party!

Summer wouldn't be complete without several "Sibling Sleepovers"....

Until Next Time,

Seoul's Children Museum

It's been raining a lot lately, so the kids & I needed to venture out of the house some.  I happen to read an article about a new children's museum that had opened up recently near Children's Grand Park.  It was super easy to get to by subway,  only cost 4,000 KRW,  looked like a lot of fun, so I thought it would be the perfect place for us to spend our day.  We were not disappointed!!

We had some new friends join us for the adventure :)

The museum was super easy to get to.  Once you exit the subway, you just walk straight for about 5 minutes and you are there!

My friend & I thought this was super neat..you place your umbrellas in the slot, pull the key out and it locks it in until you are finished with your visit.  Then you return the key & get your umbrella back! ( I know doesn't take much to impress me..lol)

Our tickets were super easy to buy!  Then it was time to go in!!  The museum has four different floors, each with different themes & activities for the kids to explore!   This is on the first floor.

Using the pipes as instruments!

Tent city...

This was a really neat spot..the kids drew pictures on the sheet of paper.  Then they placed the paper into the red circular container, spun it around, and it animated the picture.  Pretty cool!

Being a virtual conductor!

After playing on the first floor for a while the kids were ready for a snack.  There is a cute little cafe located on the first floor that serves hot drinks ( coffees, teas, etc), cold drinks ( tea, water, lemonade, etc.), cookies, and some YUMMY gelato! Of course the kids chose the gelato, which was really good!

Afterwards, it was time to explore the second and third floors of the museum....

Shadow puppets.....

This was one of my kids favorite areas!  They climbing it!

Exploring the Space area...

Writing letters to the aliens....they LOVED this part! After they wrote them, they would put them in a metal box, press a green button and it would fly through a clear tube over them & land on the other side of the room in the aliens mailbox!  Super cute :)

On the top floor was the water area...by far their favorite place!

Also on the third floor was the World Fashion Show.  The kids had a blast trying on different clothes and walking the runway!

Somehow, we had missed this area on the first floor so when the boys saw it they had to go play with them! There was also an small outdoor section, but it was pouring rain so we skipped that part.

As we were leaving the kids wanted a little snack to eat before we got on the subway.  Usually there are a lot of vendors outside of Children's Grand Park, but do to the rain they were all closed except this little spot!  The kids loved their corn dogs.

We had such a great day & can't wait to go back!!

Until Next Time,
Michelle
