On Sunday, we went and spend the day with Josh's mom's side of the family. Sadly, I left my camera and didn't get to take any pictures :(. We will be back in June though and I will get plenty! That evening we met one of Josh's families dear friend at the local park and she took some family pictures. (Thanks, Shirley) Josh's mom really wanted them taken before we headed to Korea for two years and thankfully everyone was in town, so it worked out perfectly. I think they turned out great, especially considering it was super hot outside and we used my camera.
Here are some of my favorites....
On Monday, Gran treated us to a fun day in Pigeon Forge. We rode go-karts, kiddie rides, played glow in the dark putt-putt, and ate some great BBQ at Corky's!
Rachel kept looking back to see if we were catching up to them...so cute!
This was Caleb's first time riding the go-karts...his exact words were " Mom, can we do this everyday!! I just LOVE TN!"
I especially enjoyed the sprayers....felt SO good!!
After the go-karts, it was off to the kiddie rides...first up the swings. This is the first year Ethan couldn't ride them because he was too tall :(
So on this ride, I had to ride with Michael because of his age. I really should have let Josh ride this. Ever since I've had kids, I just cannot stomach twirly rides.....they really make me sick on my stomach. When getting on this ride, I did not realize that the buckets twirl too!!! This is my "Josh, I hope I do not throw up on this!" face...lol
However, Ethan and Rachel couldn't spin fast enough...they LOVED it!
I was about to lose it right hear...I kept breathing slowly and praying it would stop soon...lol
Flying Dinosaurs...
Spinning cups...
Mini Race Cars...
This was Michael's favorite ride :)
Carousel...
Ethan and Rachel chose to ride a twirly ride again...by this time I think Rachel was tired of them..
While we hung out with the kids, Josh and Jonathan went and rode on the triple decker race track..
Corky's was on of the places Josh & I ate on our honeymoon, so it has always held a special place in our heart. Plus, they have some amazing BBQ!!
This is what I get when I try to take a candid picture of the guys....
Rachel LOVED the ribs...
Finally, a serious pic <3
Ready for some glow in the dark putt-putt...( can't really tell because I used my flash on my camera)
This is what it really looked like ...
Caleb posing on the treasure chest...
CAUGHT IN THE ACT......Michael trying to open the chest and see what is inside ( he didn't realize I was on the other side taking a picture...He kept looking around to see if his Daddy was watching him..lol
The end to a wonderful day!!
We had such a great time visiting Josh's family! It was so great to have everyone together. We are looking forward to seeing them all again real soon!!!
Until Next Time,
Michelle
